Dryers are used on products with low fat content. Dryers use a combination of heat and air movement to accomplish moisture removal, and are far more efficient than cookers for these applications such as Feathers and Blood.
When it comes to drying your product, Alloy has you covered. Whether your application is small or large, whether you want indirect heat like a steam tube dryer or you prefer a direct-fired approach, Alloy can help you design your drying system as well as supply, and install the entire process. Please call the Alloy Application Group to discuss your needs and Put Alloy In Your Process.
DIRECT FIRED DRYERS
Small to Medium Volume Dryers:
The Steam Tube dryer shown above has up to 600 ft2 of product contact area and can remove up to three pounds of water per square foot per hour. Many customers utilize more than one of these units in their process to provide redundancy for this critical process.
Direct Fired Dryers
Direct Fired Dryers are at the very top of the dryer world in terms of efficiency because the fuel is converted directly to heat, rather than indirect dryers that utilize steam. They permit a higher inlet moisture content and they do not change the granularity of the product because the product is carried in an airstream rather than being conveyed by a rotating shaft assembly.
Generally, they produce the highest-quality finished products and can be matched with controls that automate the drying process even when the inlet moisture content varies.
Alloy offers a full range of dryers with capacities to 10,000 pounds per hour evaporation and beyond.
These machines are built to meet your specific needs. Please fill out our application sheet and Alloy will begin our sizing and investment calculations, allowing us to contact you with answers, not more questions.
